Use cases

Everything your
inventory needs.

Bestand covers every inventory challenge Shopify apparel brands face — from preventing dead stock and automating reorder decisions to modeling seasonal demand and managing supplier lead times.

Shopify Inventory Forecasting

Bestand syncs with your Shopify store to analyze historical order velocity at the SKU and variant level. The forecasting engine accounts for trend, seasonality, and active campaign windows to predict how much of each SKU you'll sell over your supplier's lead time — before you run out.

Reorder Point Calculator

Every recommendation surfaces the exact reorder point — the on-hand quantity at which you need to raise a new purchase order — factoring in your supplier's lead time, your safety stock buffer, and the forecasted demand rate. No spreadsheet required.

Dead Stock Prevention

Overbuying ties up the cash you need for the next collection. Bestand tracks coverage days across your catalogue and flags SKUs that are pacing slow relative to the forecast, giving you time to run a clearance push or renegotiate the next PO before stock becomes dead.

Apparel & Fashion Inventory Management

Apparel is harder than general retail: seasonal sell-through rates, size curves, style lifecycle, and wholesale MOQs all interact. Bestand is purpose-built for fashion brands — it understands size-level runout, end-of-season clearance triggers, and MOQ economics at the supplier level.

Seasonality & Demand Modeling

Scale-plan merchants get a seasonality overlay that blends historical seasonal patterns into every forecast — so a spring jacket that moves fast in April doesn't look like a fast mover in October. Seasonal lifts and troughs are displayed per-SKU on the reorder recommendation.

Supplier Management & Lead Time Tracking

Store your supplier directory inside Bestand with per-vendor default lead times, MOQs, and currencies. Every reorder recommendation uses the actual lead time for each SKU's supplier, not a global average — which matters when your knitwear vendor is in Portugal and your basics supplier is in Bangladesh.

Marketing-Adjusted Demand Forecasting

Running a campaign? Growth-plan merchants can define campaign windows with a demand multiplier. Bestand folds the uplift into the forecast so the reorder recommendation tells you to buy more before the campaign starts — not after you've stocked out and the opportunity is gone.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of brands is Bestand designed for?

Shopify brands in the apparel, footwear, and fashion-adjacent space — anywhere size curves, seasonal sell-through, and MOQ economics are first-class problems. It also works well for any product-based Shopify brand with more than a handful of active SKUs.

Does Bestand replace Shopify's inventory management?

No. Bestand reads your Shopify inventory levels; it does not write them back. It is a planning and forecasting layer on top of Shopify, not a replacement for Shopify's inventory tracking.

How accurate is the demand forecast?

Bestand uses an ensemble of forecasting methods — exponential smoothing, trend models, seasonal decomposition — and selects the best-performing method for each SKU based on historical wMAPE. Every recommendation includes a confidence interval so you can see how certain the model is before committing to a PO.

Can I use Bestand without connecting to Shopify?

Shopify is the data source for orders and inventory. Without it, Bestand has no sales history to forecast from. If you are not on Shopify, Bestand is not the right fit today.

How many SKUs can Bestand handle?

Plans are tiered by active SKU count — from 250 SKUs on the Starter plan up to unlimited on Enterprise. Each SKU is forecasted and tracked individually, so larger catalogues simply require a higher-tier plan.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. You won't be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel from the billing portal in one click.
